This Generous Thing

Helllooo, everybody!!! Today,as I pondered over the effects of this coronavirus, I was astonished to realize that there were actually certain positive effects. This coronavirus has given us the opportunity to slow down in this fast-moving world. It has given us a chance to appreciate life and everything about it. This is why I will be posting a poem on this blog, so that all of us can do the same. It is titled, "This Generous Thing"

THIS GENEROUS THING
The wondrous sky painted blue,
And the stunning sea reflecting it,
The charm of those trees that grew,
This generous thing accepts all of it!

The gnarled old roots of a tree,
And the wrinkled faces of chimpanzees,
The treacherous depths of the sea,
This generous thing accepts all of these!

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who're different are lost,
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost!

This generous thing knows this,
And tries to teach it to us,
To help us achieve eternal bliss.
Nature is that thing so generous!

p.s. The 3rd line of the 3rd stanza is for Prince Charles and all the old ones infected. Don't lose hope!

Signing off, this is The Big V.
