Percy Jackson and the Sea Of Monsters

Geia Sou guys!! That is Greek for hello. Today I will be commenting on Percy Jackson and the Sea Of Monsters.

Percy, after saving the world from Zeus' wrath by returning his master bolt to Zeus, has taken a break from camp by returning to his normal life, only to have the monotony disturbed by a dream showing that his best friend, Grover Underwood, is in danger and needs Percy's help. As if this is not enough, he is attacked by a bunch of Laistrygonians and is saved by a friend he had rescued from the dumps, Tyson, who turns out to be a Cyclops. That's when Annabeth pops up because she had dreams about the camp in danger. They go to their camp and find Chiron(if you read my previous blog, you might know him as Mr. Brunner) fired, the protective tree poisoned, and a soul from Tartarus as the new director named Tantalus. Clarisse, the local bully, a daughter of Ares, is sent to get the Golden Fleece to save the tree that protects the camp. Now, this doesn't sit too well with Percy, so he, along with Annabeth, go to save Grover, who is, incidentally, captured in the Sea of Monsters, which is where the Golden Fleece is located.

In this book, Riordan crafts a sequel almost better than his compelling debut. This book continues to be irresistible as he does everything right in the second book of the Percy Jackson series. It is a good read as you curl up in a chair and join Percy on his gut-wrenching adventure as he uncovers a terrible family secret and makes a mistake which leads to the addition of an unexpected factor(Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus).

I would give it a 9 out of 10.

Signing off, this is THE BIG V.

P.S. The next post will be on 'The Titan's Curse'. Bye!!
